Portland tuna action 9.4.0967 views'ADAMAS CHARTERS' does it again on a JRB high speed special. Thanks again to rod for the pic, fantastic albacore on one of my lures, PINK again. I'm going to miss spending my lunch time's making stainless lure heads on the works lathe as i'm about to move to queensland to drive cranes instead of being a fitter. Already making resin heads, watch out marlin/sailfish on the sunshine coast. Tight lines everyone. J Behrens.

3.4m stessle edge tracker. J Behrens.1 viewsThis is my go to boat for the estuary. I've since changed my outboard from a 8hp mercury 2 stroke to a yamaha 15hp 4 stroke. Its great to chase jew at night in, the motor starting and stopping doesn't put the fish off when i'm chuck'n soft plastics. The floor and casting deck i put in myself, works well. I caught this barra in the mooloolah river (mooloolaba) 7.12.09. At 1.24m long and est 50lb, it the biggest barra ever known caught in this area. The 4 stroke is perfect to troll with.Dec 18, 2010

2010 portland bluefin tuna. J Behrens1 views''ADAMAS CHARTERS'' with another bluefin caught on one of my lures. This on was skirted up with some black magic skirts which will be the last time due to them being expensive, yozuri skirts are cheaper and i can walk into welseys tackle up here in qld and get them.Dec 18, 2010

2010 portland bluefin tuna '' behrens custom lures''1 views''ADAMAS CHARTERS'' did well down at portland again this year on the bluefin and albacore. I sent rod some more of my creations to see how they would go. I've started to make resin cup face pushers and they are working a treat. This one is called ''tubby'' after the old man. Rod uses them only if the tuna are hard to catch, they seem to work i guess plus he doesn't want to lose one. This one had pink yozuri skirts, tuna love it.Dec 18, 2010

Barwon river mulloway. J Behrens1 viewsHows this for an old photo.I was searching through fishnet pictures when i found this, i'm not sure what year it was taken but it turn's out to be my great grandfather Rupert Salter. Geoff Wilson took the photo, i asked him about it and he discribed the day to me as if it was yesterday. All my relatives didn't know about the picture, they were rapped when they found out about it. I think it was around 19lb, but look at the suit, hat. Thats how i remember him.Dec 18, 2010

Bream on barra gear. J Behrens2 viewsI caught this bream near the prawn trawlers in the yamba boat harbour, nsw. I was chasing mangrove jack with half a gar fish when this bream smashed the bait. At 45cm, it gave me a great fight even using 30lb barra outfit. It was released.Dec 18, 2010

19.7.10 Mulloway. J Behrens0 viewsThis fish ate the berkely 5'' jerk shad in nuclear chicken colour on the first cast of the night. I didn't even have a chance to jig it. If they are hungry and you manage to put the lure in front on a fish, bingo. Dec 18, 2010

5.9.10 maroochy river jew. J Behrens1 viewsMatch the hatch as fly anglers say. The berkley pogy 3'' shad in sardine colour looks like the herring that swim in the rivers up here in qld. This soft plastic would be great in the barwon since it would look like a salmon. When slowly retreaved (lift and drop) it gives off a nice vibration due to its tail, more noise the better. I usually drift with the tide and work the eddys around the bridge. If i find that the lure is to far off the bottom, i just let some more line out then continue to jig.Dec 18, 2010
